ServiceHQ WhatsApp runs inside ServiceM8 — there is no separate account and no separate password. To read and reply to messages, sign in to ServiceM8, open a job, and tap WhatsApp. New enquiries appear in your ServiceM8 Inbox.

What it does

Enquiries land in ServiceM8

A WhatsApp message from a new customer appears in your ServiceM8 Inbox, ready to convert into a job or quote with the contact details already filled in.

Reply from the job

Open any job and tap WhatsApp to see the whole conversation and reply — from your business number, with the thread saved against the job for the rest of the team.

Suggested replies

Optional AI drafts a reply using your business details and the conversation so far. You read it, edit if you want, and choose whether to send. Nothing is sent automatically.

Keep your number and your app

Connect the number you already use. With WhatsApp’s coexistence onboarding, the app on your phone keeps working exactly as it does today.

How to get it

  1. Sign in to ServiceM8 on a computer, as the account owner or a staff member with add-on permissions.
  2. Go to Settings → Add-ons, find ServiceHQ WhatsApp, and install it. Review what it asks for and approve.
  3. Open WhatsApp Settings from the add-on menu and start the free trial.
  4. Connect your number through WhatsApp’s own secure signup. You can keep the number you already use — with coexistence onboarding, WhatsApp on your phone carries on working.
  5. Send yourself a test message. It should land against a job, or in your ServiceM8 Inbox if it’s from someone new.

Requires a ServiceM8 account with the Inbox add-on enabled, and a mobile number that can receive WhatsApp. Built on the official WhatsApp Business Platform from Meta; Meta charges for messaging separately, directly to your WhatsApp Business Account.
